Academic Writing Workshop

The Academic Writing workshop is for students who are seeking to improve their writing skills. The focus of this workshop is on developing a well-structured essay, learning academic vocabulary and the linking devices necessary for connecting ideas at the sentence and paragraph level.

When you study at any university you will need to produce written assignments. You can expect assignments to be set and marked by your tutors/teachers or lecturers on a regular basis. One of the most common problems students face at university is that they tend to write in a very casual and informal manner. Whereas, assignment writing at university needs to be formal in tone, well structured and unambiguous. Therefore, improving your writing skills is essential if you wish to do further studies or if you want to improve your English in general.

Booking for workshops are required to sign up via sign up sheet located at Student Services Level 2, 545 Kent St, Sydney.
