The reason why I choose ELSIS is because there are not many Japanese students. I was studying English in Auckland, NZ for 2 months before coming to Sydney. There were too many Japanese at this school and my English did not get better at all.
Here in ELSIS I have an excellent environment for learning English because most of the students are from Europe or Korea. Every weekend I spend time with them on the beach for enjoying barbecue, we also spent nights at club for dancing.
It was a good choice that I changed to ELSIS from a school in Auckland.

My name is Lina. I came from Colombia one year ago. When I arrived in Australia I lived in Brisbane and I took an English Course at a University. After six months I decided to extend my visa for 6 more months and move to Sydney. My English was not good enough to go to TAFE and I enrolled in ELSIS first at all because it is cheaper and the location is convenient and secondly because the teachers are very good.
At the beginning was a hard time because was not anyone from Spanish speaking country and also because I went to University which is huge but after some time I became more confident with myself and also with my English. I started to make some friends from different nationalities and the school became more familiar because of the people who work here.
Now I having studying almost 5 months in ELSIS is like if this were my home because the people such as the secretaries, teachers and everyone are kind, helpful and the most important for me is that they are really easy going that is why I think that ELSIS is my home and the people are my family.
In this step of my study I can perfectly say that this school has improved not just my English, my personal life as well.

3 months ago I can’t speak anything in English, but now I know the basic. ELSIS was for me a very good experience - to live in Sydney, to studying English and to meet different people from almost all the world.
The lessons are most of the time funny and I think this is a good way to studying with a good success in a short time.
But the negative part of this experience is that I have to live this school this weekend!
And don’t forget Marcia! She will help you, if you have a problem and if you are sad she will give you a smile that the day will be better.

Yes. All teachers are native speakers of English and come from either Australia, UK, Canada or other English speaking countries. All teachers are fully qualified and experienced. All have university degrees, many have Masters degrees as well as a Bachelor’s degree and all have post-graduate degrees or diplomas or certificates in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language, Teaching English as a Second or Other Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language). For some courses we bring in experts in a specific field so that the students can benefit from a specially-trained person.

ELSIS is a marvellous English school in Sydney. It’s the place where I studied and felt my English got better day by day. Yet mainly, it is the place where I had an awesome and unforgettable experience. Sydney is a multicltural place without barriers between different cultures and ELSIS reflects this wonderful crossover of diversities. There is a well mixture of students in each classroom, so the possibility to have a chat speaking your native language is truly rare. I enjoyed my time everyday there. I did this because I was aimed by curiosity to discover different culture, leaving aside every kind of prejedice. I would like to shout to the world how much I love Australian people, Japanese and South Korean culture particularly. I’ve never met so kind, friendly and polite people before. It’s been fantastic staying with them.
ELSIS is the best window over Sydney. Its teachers are amazing. They are skilled, high-qualified and experienced. Over above they are friendly at the same time. All its staff is friendly. It doesn’t happen to feel alone in the other part of the world. ELSIS is not like a family. It is exactly a family. There’s always someone who naturally takes care about you.
There is only one big problem. When you go back to your Country, you will sure feel “Elsisickness”, and when you listen to the radio a song that remind you all the big and small things that you’ve lived there…Yes…It will very hard don’t cry.
